Two McIntosh Chiefs Varsity Pitchers Combine To Shutout Riverdale
McIntosh Chiefs Varsity defeated Riverdale 15-0 on Thursday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Braxton Roop induced a groundout from N Cole to finish off the game.
McIntosh Chiefs Varsity secured the victory thanks to eight runs in the second inning. Owen Thomas, Andrew Villiger, Isiah Lopez, Burton Hahn, Jackson Brown, and Joe Pressell each had RBIs in the frame.
McIntosh Chiefs Varsity notched eight runs in the second inning. The big inning was thanks to singles by Brown, Pressell, and Thomas, doubles by Thomas, Villiger, and Hahn, and by Lopez.
One bright spot for Riverdale was a single by Cole in the first inning.

Pressell led McIntosh Chiefs Varsity with three hits in three at bats. McIntosh Chiefs Varsity was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Pressell made the most plays with eight. McIntosh Chiefs Varsity tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. Villiger led the way with three.
